I'm sorry to the manufacturer. I wanted to love these because I got them to give as a very specific gift. But the photo makes them look so much better than they are. They are small, very black and with barely any iridescence. Quite boring. The gift box they came in is nice, but one side of the seam was unglued. So all and all, not a good experience. Sending back.

I bought a pair of the 8mm black pearl earrings for my wife for our 30th anniversary of being a couple. She absolutely loves them! They reflect light very well and look beautiful next to her brown hair. The 8mm was also a good size choice.

I knocked off one star for the packaging. The earrings arrived in a bubble mailer with the outer paper split open. Luckily, the bubble wrap portion of the mailer was still intact. Plus, the earrings were packed in a jewelry box inside another mini box, so they were well protected.

Overall, I am quite happy with this purchase, and my wife loves her earrings. I would definitely consider purchasing another product from this seller.

I bought these as a gift for my wife and could not be happier with the product and transaction. The seller provides a sizing picture for comparison of what the different size pearls look like when compared with a nickle. This was very helpful since my wife was asking for a "stud" sized earing, meaning not too small or too large. I utilized the lower cost shipping option and the package arrived on the day they said it would. I highly recommend using The Pearl Source for the purchasing pearl jewelry and will use them again.

I love them! One reviewer said that they looked black with no iridescence, mine have that blackish/greenish depth that was evident as soon as I put a decent light on them. I have never owned pearls before, and I think I did quite well for my first purchase. They ARE a bit small, but because my earlobes are small also they look fine. I would recommend these earrings!
This pic doesn't do them justice, because I can see more with my eyes than the camera can, but you should be able to see a little green.

My husband bought me a black pearl necklace for Christmas, I bought these to go with it. I love them, the color and shape are perfect. I couldn't wait to ware them together. I feel so good when I ware my pearls, I've worn my white set for years, and now finally I have a black set too. ( I even ware my pearls with jeans and a cute top.) The black is so striking, I love them!

These earrings were far more black and less iridescent than photographed. In fact, they look more like the Tahitian pearl photos than the Akoya photos. They were solid in color with no green or purple hues. However, the size was nice (7.5-8 mm) and the pearls were well matched for color and size. I believe that they were dyed black rather than naturally occurring black pearls. I will be upgrading to the Tahitian as they will look more like the photographed Akoya pearls and I prefer their naturally occurring iridescence and color.

I got a pair of these pearls for my wife to go with a black pearl necklace. They are nearly perfectly round and look nice. I would caution a prospective buyer though that they are bit bluer in color than the picture shows, they are almost more of a gun metal color.
