I have ordered probably 10 pairs of underwear (mostly Platinum) and an equal number of v-neck t-shirts from Saxx for years. They are my go-to for sleep-wear. My last order was maybe a few months ago.

I recently received an email from Saxx noting a new colorway of Platinum underwear. I usually order from them direct, but they were out of my size, so I ordered it via Amazon (along with a t-shirt). I received both with no problem.

First thing I noticed is that the shorts fit differently. I have 10 pairs of large - these were tight, and the waist band immediately rolled. Checked the inside - said large. I noticed the band was thinner, and a bit more flimsy than earlier buys.

I also noticed the t-shirt also fit differently. Same size ordered - also a large for 10 other times - this too was different. Thinner material, tighter.

Needless to say I don't like either, and am returning both.

Ok first of all if you haven't tried this style of underwear just do it. You won't regret it. Second, I have always purchased the "vibe" version of saxx and was fine with it.. until I read another review where these platinum ones are like rubbing kitten fur on your nuts. Turns out that dude was right. They're amazing.

Only downside is they're a little small. Just a tiny tiny bit. I wear mediums and I run 34 - 36 depending on the brand, of the rest of the saxx a medium is perfect.. these its a little tight around the waist. Maybe the elastic is better, or maybe it's just new (though I don't recall this with the vibes). Hope they loosen up a little in the washer or I have to lose weight finally.

I've worn this pair for about a month now, evaluating its use. Let's start with what I like about them. The material is soft and comfortable. The pouch works well and keeps things in check. That's about it.

The rest is my honest experience with this pair over the last few weeks. The inseam is short and rides up constantly. It wasn't an issue when I first got them, but after a few washes, they ride up. The band does not stay. Yes its comfortable and doesnt leave skin imprints but it constantly rolls over and requires adjusting. I would not wear them all day. They handle mild sweat ok, but all day wear makes them loose and feeling like a rag almost. Not a good feeling.

It's too high of a price point and too many negatives. Thus, one star.

They used to be the best until they recently changed the waistband for the worst. They now are terrible, waist band is flimsy and roll into a tube. Pure trash and waste of money. Saxx please bring the old waistbands.

There comes a time in your life when you realize you need to upgrade your underwear game: Your underwear should not hurt you.

So I moved on from the discount 3-packs. I dabbled in Tommy John and Calvin Klein Steel Micro before I discovered SAXX. For me, they are the perfect balance of comfort and support. Unlike CK and Separatec, the sizing holds up after multiple washes.

The Ballpark Pouch is wonderful. It is roomy yet still keeps everything where it needs to be.

The fit around the inner thigh is comfortable yet tight enough to prevent chafing.

Some prints are better than others - but they do look good on you.

The Platinum has a fly and is relaxed - perfect for everyday use. The Quest also has fly and is outstanding for travel. The Vibe and Volt are better for more active days in cold and warm weather respectively.

Platinum (and another 11 of the Quest 2.0) over the last 18 months. That is a lot of money invested. And I loved them and thought I had finally found the perfect underwear until I bought 2 new Platinum pair (black tidal stripe, blue jungle jam) in February 2019. The waistband on the two new pair roll. Which is incredibly annoying. Something has changed in the quality of the materials used. I haven't (and still don't) have that issue with ANY of the older pairs. The new ones were like that straightaway, right out of the package. As soon as I put them on it was obvious something was different. Very disappointing in a $35 pair of underwear. I'd rather pay a little more for better materials than the same price for a redesign that cuts corners on quality. I guess I'm going to have to continue my search. It makes me wonder if the new version of the Quest is going to have the same problem. I'm not sure I want to spend the money to find out.

First off, I’m a die hard Saxx consumer as I think these underwear Are a game changer in life. So, imagine my disappointment when I spring a bit extra for the “platinum” version that end up being the worst pair I’ve purchased (I’ve probably bought about 30-40 pair for myself and friends. Yes, I believe in this product to the point where I buy them for other hetero men).

First off, the fit was off. Usually it’s a firm fit and these were borderline baggy in the croch. This I could live with.

However, the first time I put them on, the waistband rolled down on me. By the end of the day, there was a full role in the front waistband. Aside from disfunctional, this is beyond annoying.

Not sure how this version is marketed as premium, but I would stick with the standard going forward.

Ps, if the seller is reading this, I will gladly send these back for a refund or a replacement pair as these are now useless to me.

I was very skeptical when buying a pair because of their high cost - thought I'd bite the bullet and for the most part I'm happy I did. These are very comfortable & keeps things in place! With my boxers, I constantly find myself having to readjust things down there but with Saxx - NEVER find myself having to readjust. These are not bulky feeling and feel like you're not wearing anything at all... The ballpark pouch keeps things from getting too sweaty down there as well. The only complaint, and it's not really a legit complaint, is that the band does fold over. I am an average size with little belly (Dad Bod), so the position where the band sits on my waist makes the band fold over which I hate but feel that will happen with any type I get as long as I have a little belly.
